Much

  • Means a large amount of, or a lot in quantity
  • Used with uncountable nouns
  • Used in negative and interrogative clauses

Do you get much chance to work with the kids around?
Unfortunately, I don’t have much time to deal with that problem.
It is a bit too much for me to take in.

Many

  • Means a large amount of, or a lot in number
  • Used with countable nouns
  • Used in questions, affirmative sentences and negations

I have many shirts in my wardrobe.
There will be many opportunities to make up for that in the future.
He gave her many flowers on a daily basis.
